New Iphone 5 to be released in June

Apple decided, that in 2011, it would break the regular launch pattern for the iPhone and deviate from the traditional June unveiling. The company took to the stage in October instead during the “Let’s talk iPhone” event to announce the details and release date for the current iPhone 4S. Even though the 4S has only been with us for just over three months, people are starting to speculate and anticipate when we will see the announcement of the iPhone 5. The good news for some is that we may not need to wait a full twelve months as it looks as though the next generation iPhone will be put back onto the traditional schedule and will be announced in June of this year during the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Speculation comes from Daiwa Securities who believe that the company will revert back to the WWDC; unveiling for the sixth generation iPhone. The iPhone 3G, 3GS and the iPhone 4 were all unveiled during a WWDC keynote. Daiwa also claim that the new iPhone 5 will make use of glass to glass touch panel technology which will likely be supplied by TPK Holding and Wintek, although this obviously has not been confirmed. The October launch of the iPhone 4S was surprising to some, but the possibility of Apple going back to a June launch date does not come as a shock if it is true. The exact dates for the Worldwide Developer Conference this year are yet to be announced by Apple but a leaked calendar from the Moscone Center points to a date between June 10 and June 15 which has a corporate meeting scheduled in. The “Corporate Meeting” placeholder is generally what the company has used in the past to identify a WWDC event, so the chances are high that the calendar entry could hold merit. If Apple does launch the sixth generation iPhone in June, I can certainly see a number of consumers being rather unhappy considering it would only have been eight months since the last release, taking away the opportunity away from them from upgrading to a newer device. I know from a personal point of view that I like the releases to be in twelve month intervals for that reason, but, the October 2011 launch forced me to buy a SIM-free iPhone 4S. (via MacRumors)

The iPhone 4S was not the last project Steve Jobs worked on.

Contrary to what you may believe, the iPhone 4S was not the last project Jobs worked on. In fact, the next generation iPhone (iPhone 5?) was the last project Steve Jobs worked on before departing from this world.

For this article’s sake, I will refer to the next iPhone as the iPhone 5. With that, and the fact that it was the last project Steve worked on, its expected that this upcoming generation will be a complete overhaul of the phone with possibility of Long Term Evolution, or LTE, often referred to as 4G. I believe its safe to assume that the iPhone 5 will include a bigger screen and a slimmer profile just like it has been rumored in the past numerous times. It was said that Steve spent his last days working on this project; leaving the iPhone 4S to other teammates as he knew his time was short.

Ashok Kumar, an analyst at Rodman & Renshaw, expects that the iPhone 5 will become a ‘cult classic’ due to the fact that it was Steve’s last project. With that, I expect Apple iPhone sales will sky rocket and surpass the current iPhone 4S launch day sales.

It may be safe to say that the iPad 3 could pave the way for possible hardware upgrades coming to the iPhone 5. We could see the likes of a new processor, memory capacity, an improved gyroscope and accelerometer etc. Keep in mind it is purely speculation at this point in time, but we know it will be a major cosmetic and internal upgrade to what Apple is providing currently. Personally I look forward to updates to iOS and how they will support the new hardware and what new advancements it will bring. Will we see iOS 6 by then? Or will we remain on iOS 5 with some tweaks?

With talks about how large this project was, its understandable why the iPhone 4S remained as a subtle upgrade to its predecessor. The iPhone 5 should live up to the hype and continue to be the best phone on the market. Expect to see the newest generation of iPhone some time around Apple’s Developer Conference next Summer. Let’s hope that service providers will allow an upgrade option outside of the normal guidelines for those of us who have upgraded to the iPhone 4S on a 2-year contract. I guess we will have to wait and see! Oh what a long wait it will be!

Best buy leak Iphone 5 estimated release date October

Regarding the launch of iPhone 5, we have had tons of rumours pointing to an iPhone 5 release in early October. The latest clue about the iPhone 5 release date that we’re sharing here points to October 21st as the day when Apple will unveil the next generation iPhone to us all.

Previously many reports indicated the iPhone 5 release date will fall in September however the month has already started and we have yet to see any indication from Apple about an iPhone 5 release event. It is highly likely that pre-orders for iPhone 5 will start from September 30th and according to this scoop, the next generation iPhone will officially be launched on Friday 21st October. One must keep in mind that previously iPhones have been launched on Fridays, irrespective of the month and date.

This clue about the iPhone 5 release date comes from an internal Best Buy retail calendar which explicitly states that a new Apple fixture has to be installed on October 21st. You may think that this fixture installation might be routine work for Best Buy, well wait till you read what’s really pointing towards an October 21st iPhone 5 release.

The fact that a manager has to report for duty on 6 A.M. on 21st October sounds fishy. On normal days, managers get to work on 7 A.M. Why would there be a need to disturb a manager for fixture installation? Why is this fixture installation so special? Furthermore, the same thing was arranged last year when the iPhone 4 was released!

Moreover, it is also being said that Best Buy Mobile managers have a big meeting scheduled for October 10th in which they will discuss about upcoming big release. Now this does get us wondering about the iPhone 5 release date which is undoubtedly going to be in October. Apple is likely to stick with its Friday iPhone release pattern and even if October 21st isn’t the correct date, in the month of October, Friday falls on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. So if the meeting is on October 10th, there are three Fridays on which an iPhone 5 release is possible in this particular month.

In a nutshell, lets pin our hopes on this iPhone 5 release date of October 21st, as it doesn’t make sense for Apple to delay the launch of its next flagship smartphone any further. As always, we’ll keep you posted on all future developments regarding the iPhone 5. In the meantime, do leave us a comment down below and tell us what you think about iPhone 5 release on October 21st.
